My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Joey. I am a lab mix, maybe with golden retriever, but I'm not exactly sure. I'm pretty high energy, but I'm only around 2 years old. I weigh 57 lbs, so I'm the perfect medium/large size. I'm good around other dogs, but definitely better with the ladies. I know how to sit and I'm super smart. I really love food and treats! I will do anything you ask if I can have a treat! I am in a foster home and I am crate trained. I need an active person or family that will take me on walks or runs or I will need a fenced yard so that I can run and frolic when I feel the urge. I'm very friendly and I sometimes jump up to get attention, so I need some basic training and small kids might not be the best for me until then. With these brains though and the right person or family I know that I will catch on quickly! I am pretty handsome as well, if I do say so myself!

If you would like to meet me and see if I'm the right fit for you, apply today at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org!
My adoption fee is $185.00
I am spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, kept on heartworm preventative and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
In order to meet or adopt me, please complete the online application at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org

An application and home visit/meet & greet are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc.. An adoption trial may commence at that time, if RARE and potential adopter(s) are in agreement. Please complete the application on our website www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org and we will call you to explain the adoption process in more detail and answer any questions you may have.

*If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 4 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home.

**All of our pets are, or will be, spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

*****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED*****
