Meet Peet! That's right...named after Peet's coffee. His mother is a beautiful beagle named Mocha, so all six of this litter have coffee names. This adorable boy is one of a litter of six that was born while at CBR! Mocha, was sitting in a shelter ready to deliver when we were called into help. Peet was delivered via emergency c-section. Mocha has been adopted by her foster mom! Peet is absolutely adorable and is full of life. He loves to play and romp and has been our main kennel clean-up helper! He grabs the newspaper and runs amok with it...very proud of his accomplishment. We think his daddy was a Spaniel but Peet is very beagle-like. He has a slight wave on his ears, but the rest of his coat is short like a beagle. His coloring is called "lemon" in the beagle world and he has a much desired black nose. Most lemon beagles have liver (brown) noses. As of 12/13/08, she weighs 6 lbs and has had his first series of vaccinations. He has been wormed and is a healthy puppy who will need a lot of time and dedication to ensure he is properly trained and housebroken. He is sweet and gentle, but is a baby...they chew, they are needy, they grow up. Please do not apply to adopt this boy if you are not willing to put in the necessary time it takes to manage a puppy! Because of the time commitment for a puppy this age, we do not recommend Peet for families with children under the age of 8. As with all of our beagles, Peet will need to be raised inside your home; not a garage or outside.
