Wilbur's Story...
Hi, my name is Wilbur. Isn’t that the cutest name? It fits me, because I’m too adorable. I’m a black and tan Chihuahua, only EIGHT MONTHS-old and weighing about SIX pounds. Yup, I’m a puppy. I might be a little timid at first, but I’m not aggressive one bit, and I quickly started to snuggle with my foster mommy and follow her around the apartment. I also love to lie across her chest and nudge my little head under her chin. So, I know I’ll do the same with you. I also adapt easily to other dogs, as I’m living with my two foster dog-brothers. and they don’t mind one bit. I walk really well on the leash, right alongside my foster mommy. I would be happy and content with adults, a family with kids and other dogs. I’m also neutered, up-to-date on all my shots, and tested negative for heartworm Make me your little one

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilbur, a Long Beach Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
