Scotty's Story...
Scotty boy is a wonderful feline with a sweet, playful disposition who will likely remain fairly small. He loves to be held and will rest his head under your chin and wrap his arms around your neck. When Scotty's really happy (which is when you're holding him and scratching him) he not only purrs, but he does a little chirp as well! That's the sign of a VERY contented kitty! If you're interested in giving Scotty, the forever home he asked Santa for, please stop by the Point Loma PetSmart soon!Support Adopt For more information about Scotty, please call FOCAS at (619) 685-3536.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scotty, a San Diego Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
