Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Reggie at 13 months old weights 28 pounds. He is a happy go lucky dog that loves all other dogs, children, and people. He loves to play, be it a two legged or a four legged friend. He is a well balanced dog that gets along well with everyone! He has had some contact with cats and shows a curiosity, but if the cat runs he'll chase them as he would with anything that runs.
He has a medium activity level. He loves to run in the foster's fenced yard. He'll run circles around the other three dogs (all > then 5 years old) in the fosters' pack trying to tempt them to play with him a bit longer, but afterwards he will race to be the first on the foster's lap to watch TV for hours. Reggie loves to be near his master whenever possible.
Reggie is a big sniffer. When I come home after visiting other dogs he sniffs every part of me in detail with little sniffs. He sniffs the entire yard first thing in the morning and if left to run or on a rabbit trail it is hard to get him to come back, a typical Beagle trait. However, non-typical for a Beagle is that he isn't much of a barker. He runs the fence with a huge black lab and never makes a sound. Sometimes he alert barks if he hears a strange sound, but that is seldom and just a couple of woofs. He will bark out of excitement during a hot play session with the other dogs.
Reggie will need a fenced yard and at least one play companion - either another dog or active humans to take him for walks or to play.
Reggie has all his shots, is micro-chipped, crate trained and completely house trained. He has been sleeping in the foster's bed with the rest of the pack and sleeps through the night nestled between my chest and arm. He still likes to chew on paper, pens and combs if left with nothing else to do. I do let him run free in the house while away at work without any ill effects, but would not suggest it if don't have any doggie friends to entertain him.
