GiGi's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

GiGi's Story...
This sweet little blonde girl was rescued from a local shelter. GiGi is approximately 18 months old and weighs in at 55 lbs. She is current on vaccinations, spayed and heartworm negative. She is also microchipped. GiGi is an affectionate and loving girl who seems to get along well with everyone. She did very well with a little poodle mix at the shelter. GiGi has a pale blonde, curly coat that is very soft. She also gives you soft little kisses. She loves to have her belly rubbed and although she was a bit timid at first, she warmed up quickly once she was out of the shelter and was riding in our Volunteer's lap by the end of their trip home. She was very patient while big mats from behind her ears were removed and the snowshoes trimmed off her feet. She has been very quiet and calm and went in her crate easily.

GiGi is ready for her forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GiGi, a Houston Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
