Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stockton is a very light yellow, 2 year old, male Labrador retriever. He is a sweet boy that was rescued from a City animal shelter. He had been found as a stray and never claimed. He is now in a foster home and here is what they had to say about him:
"Stockton (aka Marley) is a great little Lab. We renamed him Stockton because one, everyone is naming their yellow Lab Marley because of the movie, and two, he had a Jazz collar on when they found him so we went through all of the new and old Jazz names and he responded most to Stockton. :)
Stockton is a very sweet boy that has a non-stop wiggle to his booty. He is always happy and ready to give a kiss if you want one. He seems to be housebroken which is nice, and he is now crate trained. He LOVES treats (like most Labs), and knows his basic commands. Stockton is really good on leash too, which was surprising - someone obviously spent time and money on this dog and so it's shocking they didn't go and find him. Their loss will be someone else's gain.
I think Stockton's perfect home would be one that has had a Lab before so that they will love his wiggle bum and playful personality. A home without smaller children would be best as he seems to respond to adults better than younger children. He has done great with all of the older children he's met and adults, but seems weary of younger kids. Stockton would excel in an obedience class if his new home wanted to spend time with him doing training and socialization. He has done great with our dogs (Labs and a Poodle), and just wants to give them kisses and play. He is great at settling down indoors and just hanging out. Stockton is a healthy dog who doesn't have any signs of hip issues or any illnesses, and he has sparkling white teeth!"
If you think Stockton is the Lab for you, and you would like to meet/adopt him, please go to www.utahlabrescue.com and fill out an online application. Thanks!
