Delilah's Story...
This big girl weighs in at 23 pounds and is nothing short of gorgeous! She is a pure bred Maine Coon with papers and is 5 years old. Delilah is a golden Calico Main Coone that was born in June of 1997. She has lived with the same family as an indoor only cat for the obvious reason that her owners declawed her. There was also an older bigger Maine Coone in the household that had never taken very kindly to her, and recently the two had been fighting a lot. Upon the recommendation of their veterinarian and the safety of both cats, they have decided to give her up to be placed in another loving situation without other cats or animals. Delilah likes both dry and wet food and an occasional green plant to munch on. She loves to sleep on the bed and purr in the mornings. When the doorbell rings, she usually hides until she knows who has come to see her. She also loves to be brushed every morning before she eats breakfast - with her long coat, it keeps her soft and antangled. She is patiently waiting the perfect situation and family to adopt her. There is a $100 adoption fee for Delilah.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delilah, a El Segundo Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in El Segundo, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in El Segundo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Segundo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Segundo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Segundo paves the way for another one to be saved.
