Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Missy Lou
Hi! My name is Missy Lou. I am a 7 yr. old yorkie. I am potty trained but do not like to go out in the yard alone. I need to know that you are not going to lock me
outside all by myself.
II love to take walks but my favorite thing to do is snuggle. My foster mom has a hammock that we sit on and chat. I like to look face to face and have my tummy rubbed. I get in a few good licks when I can!
I know the commands “sit” -- “Shhhh” - to be quiet and “ch ch ch”-which helps me to stay calm when I am out taking a walk and new people are walking by that I don’t know. It calms me is what my foster mom says.
I love to take car rides as long as you bring my bed. I am used to sitting in it buckled into a harness...safety first mom always says. At night I sleep in my bed
but I do like to be able to see that you are near...that we’re together in the same room.
Did I mention that I am great in the kitchen as a taste tester?
I am looking for someone to share my love with. I melt at the touch of a hand to the back of my ears, belly and back. I listen intently to all conversations. I know my name and love it when you tell me what a
good baby I am.
Do you have room in your heart for me? I promise to love you forever and always.
YSDR is a 501 c 3 Non Profit organization. We are all volunteers. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in individual homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application. Please write and ask for one to be sent to you. After receiving your application, we will then contact you if we have a pet that meets your requirements.
If you live out of state, please note that we only adopt locally.
Thank you
