Sweet and playful, is how we would describe Lucy. This friendly Pointer/Terrier mix is about 2-3 years old, and is medium sized weighing approx. 52 lbs. This adorable girl was found as a stray, although the shelter and her foster family feel she was definitely somebody's pet. Alas, no one claimed her, but she didn't have to stay in the shelter too long as her foster mom came to the rescue.
Lucy is settling right into life in her foster home, and is loving it. She is great with other dogs, always wanting to play with the other dogs in her foster home. We would ideally like to find a home where she has another playful doggie pal(s) to play with. Or with an active family, that could provide enough exercise and playtime to help her release that playful energy. She is playful, yet there are times when she is mellow, and just wants to curl up and sleep or hang out.
She adores people of all sizes, always trying to give little kisses to everyone she meets. She is good with children, but feel a home with older children or an adult home would be best suited for her.
She is housebroken, up to date on her shots, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, and will be spayed shortly. She already knows how to "Sit", and just needs a little refresher training in helping her to learn to walk nicely on a leash. This smart girl is so eager to please and quick to learn, we know she could learn in no time. She would make a wonderful companion for the family that adopts her. If you're looking to add a little "love bug" to your life, then look no farther than little Lucy!
