DICKENS's Story...
DICKENS is a wonderful, healthy little 4 yr old boy weighing about 13 lbs.
He was dearly loved and had been with his Mom since he was 8 weeks old. Unfortunately she has been called to active duty in the Navy and is being shipped overseas.

It is very easy to make friends with Dickens. He is happy and very friendly and loves the world. He absolutely adores kids and is great with them. Give him a ball and watch him go. He waits for the quiet times in your lap. A head rub and whispered words of love.

He is currently fostered in LAKE county. To learn more about adopting DICKENS, check out his webpage at http://www.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?DogID=1079

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DICKENS, a Melbourne Miniature Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Poodle for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Miniature Poodle dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Poodle breeders who help with Miniature Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
