My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello- I'm MIA! My foster family tells me that I am a gorgeous gal! I have beautiful blue eyes. I am only around 18 months old, I am up to date on shots, have been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and I am housetrained/litterbox trained as an indoor only cat. I am also front declawed. I will be spayed in February- therefore, I am available for adoption starting 2/27/2009- but please be sure to contact Advocates 4 Animals ASAP if you would like to adopt me- and when my release date arrives I will be ready to meet you! I do well with older children and adults. I prefer a home with no dogs and no other cats. However, my foster family says I can learn to get along with a dog in the household if the dog is calm around me. I will be very shy for the first 1-2 weeks when I meet you. I can't tell you how lucky I am to have been rescued by Advocates 4 Animals! I am so thankful. Now, I am patiently waiting to find a home to call my own, forever. A home that is loving and committed to us for the duration of our life. If you think I would be a good addition to your home and you can provide me with a loving, indoor home- please contact Advocates 4 Animals right away! I love to snuggle and to be held-- and I will be forever devoted to you!

**Be sure to watch my video. In the video I am snuggled with ALLIE- who is also up for adoption. We have become great friends in our foster home!**

***Please note, cats are extremely routine oriented pets. It may take 2 week to fully adjust to a new home environment. Please remember to be patient when bringing a new feline into your home. ***

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals to begin the adoption process.

1. A phone or e-mail interview will be conducted

2. If approved, an Advocates 4 Animals member will contact you and schedule a 'meet & greet' with the adoptable pet
The 'meet & greet' will be held in your home.

3. At that time of the home visit, we will assess if the pet(s) is a good match for both the
family/individual adopting the pet and the home environment.

Please note:

-All individuals living in the home must agree to adopt the pet into their home. All members of the home should be present during the 'meet & greet'-- including additional pets who live in the home.

-If Advocates 4 Animals determines that the pet is not a good fit for the potential adopter, this will be discussed at the time of the home visit.

-Every pet is different. Some pets have highly specialized needs (ie: type of environment, other pets, etc.) while others adjust easily to various environments. Felines typically take 2+ weeks to begin adjusting to their new home. All pets have been housed in foster homes while they wait to find a home to call their very own. All adoptable rescue pets are up to date on shots, treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and have been spayed/neutered.

-Advocates 4 Animals requires an adoption donation fee of $50.00. The adoption donation assists us in rescuing and rehabilitating additional homeless pets. Our organization is run solely on donations and with volunteers. Without your support we could not continue our efforts!

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals and introduce yourself. Please be sure to let us know which pet you are interested in potentially adopting. We will respond within 48 hours of your request. Thank you for adopting a rescue pet!
