Hi- We're SUGAR & SPICE (Mom & Daughter Duo)! I (Sugar) am 12 months (as of 6/2009) old and my mom, Spice is approx. 3 years old (as of 2009). We are looking to find a home to call our very own! We are spayed and up to date on shots. We have been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and I am housetrained/litterbox trained. We have also tested negative for Feline Leukemia. We get along very well with other cats and we have a very strong bond together. We love to snuggle with each other and with our foster family. We also love to play together and with our cat toys. We are affectionate, loving and like to sit on your lap and snuggle too! Our foster family tells us we are extra adorable because we look just a like too!
We both had a VERY rough start to life and we are just so thankful for our wonderful indoor life now! We are very lovable and friendly! Just wait until you hear our great purrs! Because of our very rough past, we prefer a home with no children under age 5 and no dogs.
To tell you just a little about our past- my mother and I lived with some people who did not treat us well. We were in a tiny apartment and spent most of our time hiding as low as we could in our little litter box. We huddled together trying to protect each other from the mean people. We were kicked and hit- and most of the time we went without food or water. Needless to say we were always hiding out in a dirty litter box. Our "home" was not clean or friendly. It was very scary and we hoped and prayed that some day we might have a chance at a better life. The people who owned us had a newborn baby and decided to stop feeding us altogether. Thankfully we were rescued-- We'll never forget that day! It was such a huge relief to be taken out of that situation. It is so wonderful to now have a clean, happy house to stay in (foster home) while we patiently wait to find a forever home of our very own! We love having fresh food and water every day, lots of toys to play with- unlimited petting and brushing and I can even sleep in a soft comfortable bed. It is so nice to not be scared anymore. We love life and we are both so very sweet! We really trust and love our foster family. We often roll around on the floor with our toys and throw them up in the air and jump around--because we are just so happy and we want them to know how much we appreciate their kindness!

So that's a little bit about our story. We may have had a tough start but we are very lovable felines! And my foster family tells me we are absolutely adorable!
