Here's what the humans have to say about me:
3-22-09 Smokey is available again. It seems that he may need a house without small children as he is a little sensitive with them. Smokey is a fantastic sweetie who is beautiful and sweet. Smokey would love to be an only dog or perhaps with a submissive female dog because he enjoys being the boss. He has learned so much since he's been here and would love to show it all off to you.
1/23/09 Look at that beautiful face! Smokey is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 65 lbs. We think he is a Lab/Catahoula mix. This handsome fella was saved from a high kill shelter. He is definitely one special guy!! The shelter employees kept moving him to the bottom of the list because they really loved him. He has been treated for heartworms, neutered and brought up to date on vaccines. He is healthy now and ready for his forever family to love. Smokey thinks he is a puppy. He loves to play fetch or frisbee. He is very eager to please and learn new commands. Smokey is also house and kennel trained.
**all our dogs are in our partner shelters in the south unless marked "In Maine" or "In New England". We can only bring as many dogs north as we have foster homes, so please agree to foster Smokey while we find the perfect forever home **
