Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Snowflake is an approximately 4 year old male, white Pekingese that has tested positive for heartworm and is also in need of both hernia and cherry eye repairs. These minor, but somewhat expensive surgeries can't be done until he is declared free of heartworm. He is currently undergoing the costly treatments to rid him of these destructive parasites. Snowflake is a very loving, affectionate little guy. He is playful and rarely barks. He does at rare times show a bit of "Peke-attude" (something that experienced Pekingese lovers understand), when being forced to do something he doesn't want to do - like being moved off the couch to make room for a human. Since we all know that Pekes are the reincarnation of Chinese Emperors and Empresses, it's their way of showing disdain for the commoners :o). NOTE: While he won't leave foster care until he proves to be heartworm negative, we will be taking applications for the little guy so that he won't have to wait so long afterward. Snowflake is being fostered in Suffolk, Virginia and his asking adoption fee is $225. Donations for his expensive treatments will be very much appreciated and Snowflake will personally thank his sponsors! E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS! NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
