Dewey is a Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Mix. He is Black/Brown and Merle. Dewey is 3 Years old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He weighs around 28 lbs.
Dewey is a happy go lucky sweet boy. Dewey loves people, and he will let you know it by constantly wagging his tail at you when you come near. He loves dog beds, and will curl up in a little ball every chance he gets. He greets you with a full body wiggle when you call his name and he gives your hand a kiss. He loves it when you invite him up on the couch to watch a movie, and sometimes even sneak him a piece of popcorn. Dewey loves to go for walks, with his beagle nature he loves to sniff everything when you walk him around town. He loves to play with other dogs, even with his small size he always seems to pick the big dogs to rough house with. He loves going in the car, especially when you bring along his dog bed, or a fleece blanket for him to curl up on. He will sometimes even play fetch, if you throw one of his loofa dogs down the hallway.
Dewey would do well in any household. He loves children and their energy level. He adores all people, and anyone who will give him some attention and some belly rubs. He loves to go on walks, so anyone who goes on evening walks would be a great companion for him. He adores other dogs so a household with another dog would be a bonus for Dewey. He's a laidback guy when your settled down, but can be playful if the mood strikes him. He loves going for car rides so a family outing would be wonderful for him to tag along with. He just wants a family of his own, to give him the love and kindness he deserves.
Dewey is not aggressive with other dogs, he's has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
