Rosie's Story...
Sweet, mellow, lovely lady. This one's a no brainer to take home. Rosie’s initial fault (if you can call it that) was that she was a bit shy but even that has disappeared. She gets along with all manner of creatures (people, cats, other dogs) and would be the perfect addition to almost any home (except the one that won't be able to give her the love and attention she deserves). Sweet Rosie is one of those dogs that just can't survive long in a shelter; she's too sensitive and gentle for her spirit not to get broken eventually. This lovely girl is really one of the special ones.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Berkeley Border Collie/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Border Collie/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
