The lovable Effie is oh-so-happy to wander around the shelter offices, going from room to room looking for a soft chair, or better yet, a lap to jump up upon, for this girl just LOVES her creature comforts. As well she should, for Effie did not live in the best of circumstances in her life before arriving at the shelter, to say the least. Like the other dogs who were rescued by BadRap (go to www.badrap.org for more details about the rescue) from a backyard hoarding situation, Effie spent most of her life at the end of a chain at the mercy of the vagaries of the extreme Oklahoma weather. This most charming girl will flash you her sweet smile in an instant, and before you know it, she has worked her way into your heart, big time! Indeed, it is hard not to resist the endearing habit Effie has of resting her head upon your shoulder, cold nose wedged up close to your ear, nor the searching, soulful gaze of Effie's eyes. This is one special girl, with the mettle of a survivor and the soft heart of one who would be ever-grateful for the security and boundless love that a forever-home can give her.
