Fergus's Story...
I’m a fabulous, fantastic friend named Fergus. My breed? I’m a mix of lively Lab and happy Hound. My red and gold coat is offset by black-lined eyes and a black saddle. But what you’ll likely notice first about me is my smiling face. I’m a friendly fellow you’re sure to be fond of. I’m about 2 years old now, so while I’m a playful pooch, I’ve left that puppy mischief-making behind. Sure, I was a puppy once, and probably even someone’s pet, despite the fact that I was found as a stray, but now I’m a grown-up guy. I exhibit my maturity and intelligence by showing off a command or two, like “sit.” I’m also gentle when I take my treats, never a greedy gobbler. I’m a proficient passenger when you take your coupe out cruisin’. Looking for a canine companion and faithful friend? You’ll find a fitting fellow in Fergus.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fergus, a Aldie Retriever (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
