Taylor's Story...
Taylor is a little girl flat -coated Border Collie who we estimate was born approximately mid-July of 2008.

She is also one of the smartest and toughest cookies you will ever meet. She spent a full week in zero-degree weather this winter wandering around the sagebrush and tumbleweeds of eastern WA until rescued by a kindly farmer. The wonder of it all was that the area she was wandering was FULL of coyotes, all of whom were larger than she and ready to make a meal of her... Like we say, this is one tough little girl !

Since being rescued, she has settled in nicely at our own farm and loves playing with the other dogs, horses and cattle. Like most Border Collies, she needs a job and would do best on a property or with an owner who is quite active. In addition to frolicking with the other dogs, she loves to play "ball" and is capable of entertaining herself for hours in that manner. Although she is safe around cats, she is INCREDIBLY interested in them.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, she is up-to-date on all shots and vaccinations and has been spayed. Taylor's adoption fee is $225.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taylor, a West Richland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in West Richland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in West Richland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Richland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Richland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Richland paves the way for another one to be saved.
