My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bailey and Morgan are 9 year old Shih Tzus. Tzus are long-lived dogs, so 9 is still considered middle-aged. They have been together their whole lives, although they are not related. They are completely housebroken and still very playful. They are crate trained. Bailey is more outgoing and loves to go outside. Morgan is more hesitant, but quicker to cuddle. They both love the snow (a good thing since we live in snow country - over 120 inches this year and winter isn't nearly over yet!). Both dogs learn quickly and love to walk. Neither dog has had trauma in his life, but their family was growing and the dogs didn’t adjust to the toddler well. They are fine with older children who are respectful of a dog’s space. Morgan had a little accident about a month before coming into foster care and managed to break his leg jumping off the couch. The cast is now off, but he is still healing.

It would be really nice if they could be adopted together. However, Bailey sometimes seems like he would prefer to be an only dog. At other times he seems very attached to Morgan and sticks to him like glue.

Bailey and Morgan are being fostered in Liverpool, NY. The asking adoption fee is $125 each or $200 for the pair.

E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
