2-20-09 Mikey is getting a third chance at a great life! What a lucky pup!
2-9-09 Oh no! Mikey D was adopted in October but his new mom has to move where she can not take him and she is heartbroken to give him up but wants Mikey (now Nash) to go to a good family maybe with kids so they can grow up playing together. Mikey is about 9-10 months old at this time and here's what his mom has to say about him: " Nash is a really great dog. He is house trained and up to date on his
shots. He loves other dogs and is good with cats but can be annoying to them because he just wants to play with them and most cats don't
want to be bothered with that. He's very good on a leash and loves the outdoors. He is crate trained and knows basic commands. He is about 52 lbs and very handsome. Here are some new pictures"
10/28/08 Mikey has made it north and is loving his new life in Maine. He is doing wonderfully and we guess is about 5 months old and about 40 pounds so will be full size lab we think. His foster mom says he is just a love and also has this to say about him..."Mikey is doing better with the peeing in the house, only one accident per day the last two days. He does pee and poop on leash outside. I have to say he is a total love bug but he needs a family with kids so he can play outside more. He really is a family dog. Some of the great things about him are that he loves to play outside in the leaves… he plays hard then crashes and sleeps like a baby, he loves other dogs, knows to leave kitties alone when they give him the ‘evil eye’ (lol), he does very well in his crate, has learned to sit and is learning ‘paw’ and ‘down’, and he is sensitive to your feelings… if he puppy bites you and you say ‘ouch’ he stops and licks you… so very, very sweet. "
9/08 Mikey-D is in our partner shelter in the South living in a crate- can you please help us and foster him until we can find him a forever home?
9/09/08: This is Mikey-D (named after the man who brought him in). He was found sitting in front of a school in the rain (he apparently wouldn't leave). This is a gorgeous dog. He is wearing a collar, but unfortunately does not have tags. If you know who he belongs to, please call asap. He has been at the shelter for over a week already and is living in a crate most of the time due to overcrowding.
