Heather's Story...
Hi, I'm Heather. I was found on Thanksgiving Day along with my friend, Laurel, who's likely my daughter or sister. Laurel and I were taken to a local shelter, and just before our time was up, my foster parents were notified of my plight and traveled a great distance to rescue us. I love Laurel very much but don't particularly enjoy the company of other dogs. So, Laurel and I would love to find a wonderful home that we can both share. However, if that's not possible, Laurel and I will do fine in separate loving homes. The vet says I'm about 3-5 years old. I'm already spayed, up-to-date on all my shots, and micro-chipped. I'm extremely affectionate with adults and, to demonstrate my affection, I give big wet kisses followed by a cute grin. How cute is that? I'm completely housebroken and not the least bit food aggressive. I'm currently staying in a foster home in Leesburg, Virginia. My foster mom and dad don't have children or cats so they're not quite sure how I might react to either of those. This brief bio can't possibly capture all my wonderful qualities. So please e-mail my foster mom and dad at if you're interested in adopting me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heather, a Aldie Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
