Hi, my name is Spot. I’m a very energetic, 8-year old beagle mix. My owners had to give me up because they had some health issues, but I was lucky and Beagle Buddies rescued me from the shelter. I’m very happy to be out of the shelter and living with my foster mom, but I’m ready to find my forever home.
I’m spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on all my shots. The vet thinks I am part beagle and part pug. My tail curls up and my ears aren’t floppy like beagle ears. I pant a lot and like being out in the cold. I love to run and play and jump, and I especially LOVE squeaky toys. I’m very good on a leash and love going for walks. I don’t sniff a lot like most beagles do. Instead I like to look around, especially at things that move! I’m very curious about everything.
I would be good in a home where I am the only dog, though I do get along with my foster-sister Penny just fine. If I’m with another dog, it should be one that has a lot of energy too and wants to play a lot. I’m good with both adults and children and I love to cuddle and get attention. I would really like to have a house with a fenced in yard so I can run around, but be warned that I like to dig and bury my toys. It’s okay if you don’t have a fenced in yard (my foster mom doesn’t), but you’ll need to play with me and walk me a lot. I am toy-motivated (not treat-motivated) and need to have lots of squeaky toys to play with. I’m housetrained and have not had any accidents at all.
