Huck's Story...
This boy has turned out to be one nice dog! His name is Huck, he is about 3 years old and weighs about 70lbs.

He is a charmer, an expert cuddler and is such a sweetheart. Wow, just in time for Valentine's day.

Huck came to us from a high kill shelter in Ohio. He did not have one more day to live when he hitched a ride to Adopt A Lab. He was a thin and pitiful boy when he arrived. Good food, some TLC and time was all he needed. He is ready for adoption and hopes that someone is looking for a big blockhead like him.

Huck is a chocolate Lab mix and is up to date on all his vaccines and is neutered. He loves other dogs and enjoys playgroup time at his foster home. Please help us find this sweet dog his forever home!

"No man can be condemned for owning a dog.
As long as he has a dog, he has a friend;
and the poorer he gets, the better friend he has."

- Will Rogers

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Huck, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
