My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can't help but smile when you first see McKenzie. This petite little girl has long, black fur all over her body, but the fur around her neck sticks straight out making it look like she just stuck her paw in an outlet. (Good thing she enjoys being brushed!) Your experience with McKenzie gets even better once you begin to interact with her. McKenzie seems to just melt right into you when she snuggles in your lap or against your chest as you hold her. She is a little shy at first but warms up super quickly! She loves attention and offers a lot of love in return. McKenzie not only enjoys people, but she also does well with other kitties.


There is a long list of toys that McKenzie finds endlessly amusing. McKenzie scampers so fast after balls, mice, and anything else that glides across the room that her hind legs slide out from underneath her! There is one toy she was totally enthralled by once she learned how to play with it...a round container with gaps in it and a mouse inside on a track. McKenzie soon learned by sticking her paw in the gaps, she could make the mouse go zooming around and around in circles!! She found this contraption to be one of the most fascinating things she's ever seen - she even ignored her dinner to continue playing with it! Watching her play with this toy was so funny, especially when she thought the mouse had escaped the container and she whipped her head around to find it!


One of the many things we love about McKenzie is that even though she is so teeny, she does everything with such enthusiasm and heart. She just seems to have this great passion for life. She plays hard, purrs loud, and loves big. You can't help but smile in her presence. Any family would be lucky to bring this sweet girl home!
