Toby's Info...

Toby's Story...
We don't even ask the question of how a beautiful purebred yellow Lab ends up in a shelter anymore, we just assume tough economic times. In this case the shelter confirmed our suspicion. Toby is a great dog, a very typical 1 1/2 year old yellow male Lab. Loves people, wiggles when he meets them. Does well with other dogs and especially loves the ladies!

Toby came to us through no fault of his own and is now in need of a new family. Please help us find this marvelous boy a new family. He is house trained and crate trained. He knows how to sit for a treat. He could use some more leash work (but no big deal). In short, he is a really nice boy needing a really nice family to take him in and teach him.

Toby is up to date on all his vet care. He is neutered and heartworm negative. Toby is ready to go. Please apply for him today!

"Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made." - Roger Caras

If you would like to adopt Toby, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
