Rolf von Ritterhaus's Story...
Rolf von Ritterhaus is a handsome 18 month old German Shepherd. He has a beautiful well kept coat. It looks like he just came from the groomers. He seems to have some training, he sits on command and is attentive and focused. We used to see dogs so rarely like Rolf in shelters but this year we are seeing so many of them. Rolf is good with other dogs and was good buddies with two other dogs who came in from the same shelter. People in the neighborhood where we were taking pictures thought he was K-9 police dog. He looks the part but he is a sweet guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rolf von Ritterhaus, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
