My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAGGIE MAE

Falmouth, Maine

UPDATE: 02/23/09

Good news for Maggie Mae! She has found a wonderful foster home in Falmouth, ME where she is living peacefully with a Lab and a kitty.

Maggie Mae is such a sweet girl and no trouble at all! She is quiet and well behaved in the home, enjoys snoozing in front of the fire, walks in the woods and being petted.

She is a bit overweight and is now on a diet and exercise plan to help her regain her girlish figure.

She is scheduled to visit the vet this week for a check up.

This is a wonderful, sweet dog who deserves a living retirement home. She still has a lot of life and love to give. Please consider sharing your home and heart with Maggie Mae

Maggie Mae (Hound/Lab mix) has had a very tough few months. She was a beloved pet until recently when her mom died suddenly of a stroke, leaving Maggie Mae and her "brother" Woobie, homeless. As you can imagine, Maggie Mae is heartbroken and confused. Now living in a boarding kennel - she is wondering what happened to her comfy bed, backyard and caretaker.

Fortunately, Woobie and Maggie Mae have a guardian angel who asked for our help in finding these two a very special, loving home.

Maggie Mae is a 10-year old female Hound/Lab mix who has enjoyed her fair share of treats. She enjoys lounging around, eating and having someone read to her. She could benefit from losing a few pounds - moderate excercise and measured diet is something that would benefit her in the future. Maggie Mae still has playful moments with her brother and enjoys taking walks and having her ears rubbed.

At her previous home, Maggie Mae was either walked on leash or played in a fenced in yard.

In her previous life, Maggie Mae shared her home peacefully with three cats. She is used to having someone home with her most of the time, as her former mom was retired. She is also good with children and get along with other dogs.

Maggie Mae is up-to-date on vaccines, altered and house trained.

We would like her next home to be their last - she is longing for human companionship and love. If you have room in your heart or in your home for Maggie Mae , please contact DDBMaine@yahoo.com for an adoption application.
