Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Ms Beasley, and like my name sake (Child’s doll on TV sitcom Family Affair) I am looking for a strong, dedicated Family to worship me for the rest of my life. Please allow me to elaborate.
I am up to date on my shots and was just recently spayed. So medically I am ready to be adopted. I get along very well with both cats and dogs. I am quite a smart Basset. My Foster brother and sisters have already taught me to use the doggie door. I am learning to play again with my foster brother and sisters. On the flip side they have also taught me to counter surf and dumpster dive.
Now emotionally I am a bit timid. As long as you come at me gently I am fine. If someone approaches me too fast I will cower. I do like to sleep on the furniture, but dog beds on the floor work too. I can bark quite loudly but tend to do it only when left alone outside.
I do get along well with my foster mom’s grandchildren, but I still shy away at first.
In short my dream forever home will be one in which someone is home most of the time. My new family will need some patience with me, treats and affection will go far in wining my trust and bolstering my confidence. Time and consistency will help me be the best Basset Hound that I can be.
