My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am as precious a little girl as you could ever ask for. My name is Cricket, but my foster mom calls me Crickey. I am 4 or 5 years old and have a cute little type B, Teddy, body build. It is just perfect for cuddling on your lap, which is my favorite thing to do in all the world. I love my foster mom and follow her around the house. I am afraid of my foster dad, but I will lie beside him if he isn't loud and jumpy. My foster mom says that is because I am very timid. I probably would be frightened by small children who make a lot of quick, scary motions. However, a more mature, quiet child over 10 would suit me well, especially if they need a lap warmer and like to get kisses on their hands. I enjoy wandering in the yard on a nice day and spending time with the other doggies in my foster home. I really don't notice the cat that lives here at all. I am doing well with my potty training, but I do need a schedule or potty pads if I have to stay inside for a real long time. I also know how to use a doggie door . Hopefully, someone will fall in love with me that is within 500 miles of Jacksonville, Florida (in the Northeastern tip of Florida) so I don't have to fly, because that is just too scarey. I'm really a very smart dog and just need someone who can spend a lot of time with me and appreciate all the love and affection that I have to offer.Cricket freezes up when you put a leash on her. However, she uses the dog door very well. We feel she would do best in a home with a fenced yard.
