Chelsea's Story...
Chelsea is a friendly 5 year old fox hound mix.
she is easygoing and laid-back—She really enjoys going hiking and being a hound! Her favorite past time? Running around and going for a “hunt,” so to speak. Chelsea loves exploring new environments and feeling helpful. Once she knows you, she forms a special bond with you. . She is also happy and bouncy and sometimes acts like a cheer-leader. She rides perfect in a car and has very nice leash skills.
Chelsea should be placed in an adult family house-hold or kids over 13 years old, as like most hounds, she likes to protect her food.
She is currently enrolled in the shelters AKC Canine Good Citizen program and is already at the top of her class. Upon adoption, she comes with reduced rate training and one free consult to facilitate her adoption.

Act quickly to adopt Chelsea. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chelsea, a West Warwick Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
