Angelo's Story...
Angelo is like a big, beautiful teddy bear. With his comforting presence and his snuggly ways, this Retriever mix is a wonderful companion to the young and older, alike. Angelo also seems to get along well with other dogs, which is always nice when you are walking around with a dog as big as sweet Angelo. When you stop by his kennel to take him out, he sits up straight and quietly lets you leash him up. We have been using the gentle leader with him, and it works like a charm! Come met this even-tempered boy who loves human companionship and is the ideal walking companion, staying by your side, and giving you the knowing glance that lets you know how connected he feels to you.

Act quickly to adopt Angelo. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angelo, a Berkeley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
