Sammy's Story...
Meet Sammy, a gorgeous 1 year old neutered male purebred Ragdoll weighing 15 lbs. Sammy has been through a lot during his first 6 months of life. Due to lack of care from a previous owner when he was young, he has had problems with one of his eyes but was taken care of when he came into rescue last year. His eye still requires an ointment at times and requires cleaning 2-3x a day. Sammy loves to play and has a bunch of toys, some favorites. He needs a home where he will be spoiled, given lots of attention and loved unconditionally. He is a cuddler yet still likes his "alone" time. He gets very attached to his people and will follow them around everywhere. He needs a home where someone is home a lot and will spend a lot of time with him. A home without kids and other pets is a must. He is Felv/Fiv negative, up to date on all vaccinations. Litterbox trained. Adoption fee is $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Newburgh Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
