Hey y'all, My name is Duke! I'm a svelte, handsome Boxer that's super popular with the ladies (dudes like me too). Few can resist this rugged manly charm. I had a hard life, and when I was finally rescued I was all skin and bones. I have an amazing foster mom thats helping me pork up and find my purpose in life. I think I've got it down... There's these tiny people, the humans call them "kids", and they love it when I entertain them. And as an added bonus, they occasionally leave crumbs on their faces for me to lick off! Then there's the couch... It wouldn't do for my humans to have a cold bum, so I'm committed to snoozing in their favorite seat so its toasty warm when needed. And car rides! Humans are terrible with directions, so I solemnly swear to co-pilot to the best of my abilities. Really, I just want to be someones best friend, a loyal dog that changes someone's life for the better. They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and I am ready to open up a stand with my awesome new family.
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested *********** for heartworms and is being treated in our care. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn, MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn, MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
