Oreo's Story...
Oreo is a little guy that NJSAP had adopted out some months back. He has done beautifully in his new home, but due a change in his people's circumstances, he needs to find a new home. He is estimated to be around 5 years old. He gets along well with other dogs and loves people.

This is what his current mom has to say about him... "He loves to play with his toys, he can stand on his back feet to beg you to give him a treat, or play with or pet him. If you play tug of war with him with a toy, once he finally wrestles the toy from you, he celebrates by waving the toy back and forth. He can also jump quite high, so if you are coming towards him with something he wants, and you're not getting there fast enough, he'll jump about two feet in the air to show how eager he is. He loves to be petted, especially around the head and chest. He also has a funny way of putting a toy on his back for a few seconds, then taking it off and playing with it. He is also quite good at looking pitiful if he feels that not enough attention is being paid to him, probably from his history of being a stray in NYC."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a Bernardsville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bernardsville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bernardsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bernardsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bernardsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bernardsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
