Shirley's Story...
Your regular blanket not keeping you warm enough? All you need is a brush and Shirley will sit in your lap and keep you warm all night long! Shirley is a gorgeous Domestic Long Hair who loves to be brushed and pampered. She is a little shy at first, but that can easily be remedied with grooming tools! Shirley doesn't mind other kitties, but she prefers people (opposable thumbs can hold the Furminator, her favorite grooming tool). If you'd like to meet this big, beautiful, furry ball of love please come down to the FOCAS El Cajon cattery at 600 Broadway ave. Our adoption hours are M-F 6pm-8pm and Sat and Sun 12pm-3pm. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shirley, a San Diego Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
