Mia's Story...
Mia is a very sweet and mellow girl with beautiful peach and gray tortie coloring. She had an accident as a young kitten and had to have her front left leg amputated, but she can jump and play with the best of 'em! She is a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. She likes to have her ears massaged and loves to lay in bed next to her best friend, Moe. Mia and Moe are very bonded and need to go home together, which means double the love for you! Come meet Mia and Moe at the Petsmart in Encinitas today! Support Adopt For more information about Mia, please call FOCAS at (619) 685-3536.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a San Diego Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
