Eli von Elsberg's Story...
Eli von Elsberg is a lovely 13 month old German Shepherd. He has a beautiful short and shiny coat. Eli is a gentle soul, city noises scare him, he came from San Bernardino and isn’t a city slicker yet. As you walk he presses against your leg for security. He was happiest when we walked with another dog Samantha, she is out going and comfortable in any situation so he picked up on her energy. He needs to be in a family with another dog. He is not going to be a huge guy, We would guess when he is finished filling out he will be around 65 pounds. He was fine when he met a cat, he was more interested in one of our volunteers. He has something so special about him, he bonds with the volunteers and then has to be pulled back into the kennel. It is heart breaking, he will appreciate his new home so much. Eli is so adorable and deserving

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli von Elsberg, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
