My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Brooklyn and I am the tiniest and most adorable of Shih Tzu boys – I weigh only 7 pounds, and at about 4 years old, am full-grown! Everyone admires my beautiful chocolate-brown and vanilla-white hair – what can I tell you? – I am a charmer, and just as sweet as my candy-colored coat indicates, and everyone says I am soooo lovable.
I am a mellow boy who enjoys the companionship of my family and to lay beside them or cuddle in a warm and cozy lap. I also have some interest in my canine foster sister, even though she isn’t always so kind to me. Despite her attitude, I keep trying to win her over, because if everyone else is won over by me, can’t she be, too? I also like cats and wouldn’t mind feline friends in my new home.
I am a big fan of eating treats, and my foster mom and our doormen are always there for me and my treat needs. I think the doormen are there to be my treat dispensers, actually (I have those people wrapped around my little paw!).
My foster mom says I am very cute when I’m going to go lay down to sleep on a soft surface, because I have a whole ritual of nuzzling my head and body and flopping around in a circle for a while until I am comfortable. What can I tell you? I like to be comfy.
I do love my walks and am good about doing my business outside. If I have to, I will also use wee wee pads, but I do hope my forever family will have the time to bring me outside several times every day to do my business. I prefer that and like the smells and exciting times that walks can be, and enjoy sharing this interesting one-on-one time with my human.
One more thing about me is that I am blind. It’s no biggie and I get along just fine once I have mapped out my home. (I hear it helps me not be as conceited as my gorgeous looks and winning demeanor might otherwise compel me to be.). And as you may know, eyesight is not the most important sense for we dogs, as it is our nose that guides us. Mine guides me to my foster mom, to my friends, and, say, is that a TREAT you have?
