Daisy's Story...
Daisy was found by a Good Samaritan living in the woods behind her house. She fed Daisy and put up 'found pet 'ads thinking that since Daisy was so friendly she had to be someone's lost pet. However, no one responded and it's likely that Daisy was abandoned. (The current foreclosure mess is creating many strays when people leave their pets behind.) Daisy is about 2 1/2 years old by our vet's best guess. She is a petite girl with a "butterball" physique (she LOVES to eat!) and has a solid black coat--possibly a Persian mix. She has the cobby body style of a Persian and the soft plush coat, but she does not have the flat squished-in nose of a Persian. She tolerates grooming fairly well, but tends to grumble when you brush her tail. :) She is a friendly girl, but we think she would be best with older children (8 years and up). If you have any questions or would like to meet her, contact Beckie at (410) 972-1355 or email: southpaw115@att.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Odenton Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Odenton, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Odenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Odenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Odenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Odenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
