Hi there- I'm BUDDY! I am neutered, front declawed, up to date on shots and housetrained/litterbox trained. I have also been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. I am INCREDIBLY LOVABLE and I am a LAP CAT! If you're looking to add a furry friend to your family that will be forever devoted to you-- I'm your man! I am about 10 years old (as of 2009)-- but I don't let the numbers slow me down! At Advocates 4 Animals they have a 23 year old feline who is healthy, happy and going strong--- so I know I still have plenty of good years ahead of me! I am black with one white patch on my chest. I have large green eyes- and a personality that will impress anyone! I get along well with older children and adults and I do well with other cats and with dogs. I love playing with toys and with the laser light from time to time! I love to be petted, held, brushed and I have a great purr! I also LOVE to snuggle and to be on your lap. I give great kisses with my forehead too! My foster family says I am the "all around purr-fect kitty"! And I don't mind the compliment. I am laid back and just happy to live each day.
To tell you about my past-- it's been very sad-- but I am happy and healthy and so thankful to the great people at Advocates 4 Animals for taking me in. I was given a home as a young kitten. I lived with a wonderful family and enjoyed my indoor life. At nearly 10 years old a member of my family was in an accident and became a paraplegic. Unable to care for me any longer and trying to protect me from certain euthanasia at the pound I was placed outdoors in hopes that I would live on my own and be okay. While outdoors trying to survive on my own without claws and with no food, I was scratched in the eye and it has been left slightly cloudy- but I have no further pain or issues with it. Thankfully my prayers were answered and Advocates 4 Animals rescued me and I am back indoors now! My foster home is wonderful- I have fresh food and water, soft beds and lots of attention. I am dreaming of the day when I am adopted into a new home. My dream home is an individual/family who is committed to me for my lifetime. Remember I told you that A4A has a rescue cat who is 23 years old? I have MANY good years ahead of me at just 10 years young. I dream of a owner who will let me sit on their lap and pet me a lot and give me a lot of love and attention. I hope to have a calm, quite home. I am patiently waiting to find my new home.
