My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello- My name is PEANUT! I am big happy fellow who is looking for a home to call my very own! I am front declawed, neutered, up to date on shots and I am housetrained/litterbox trained. I have also been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. I do well with older children and adults and I get along great with other cats. I prefer a home with no dogs- but my foster home has 2 dogs and I am fine with them (it will just take me a little longer to warm up -- and I prefer them to be calm dogs). With a little time and patience I will be your very best friend and be forever devoted to you! I am approximately 4 years old. To tell you a little bit about my past- I was raised with a loving family and I had a great indoor life with two other cats. My owners lost their jobs and were forced to move to a place that can not have pets. Because of this- my furry siblings and I were forced to find new homes. The other two have found homes to each call their very own-- and now I am patiently waiting to find one to call my very own. I am very LOVING and affectionate and if you are devoted to me and provide me with a great indoor home-- I will be forever yours!

If you are interested in learning more about me or if you would like to inquire about adopting me- please contact the good people at Advocates 4 Animals right away! Be sure to tell them you would like to add PEANUT to your happy family--- I can't wait to meet you!

***Please note, cats are extremely routine oriented pets. It may take 2-6 weeks to fully adjust to a new home environment. Please remember to be patient when bringing a new feline into your home. ***

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals to begin the adoption process or complete the online ADOPTION APPLICATION! .
1. A phone or e-mail interview will be conducted
2. If approved, an Advocates 4 Animals member will contact you and schedule a 'meet & greet' with the adoptable pet
The 'meet & greet' will be held in your home.
3. At that time of the home visit, we will assess if the pet(s) is a good match for both the family/individual adopting the pet and the home environment.

Please note:
-All individuals living in the home must agree to adopt the pet into their home. All members of the home should be present during the 'meet & greet'-- including additional pets who live in the home.
If Advocates 4 Animals determines that the pet is not a good fit for the potential adopter, this will be discussed at the time of the home visit.
Every pet is different. Some pets have highly specialized needs (ie: type of environment, other pets, etc.) while others adjust easily to various environments. Felines typically take 2+ weeks to begin adjusting to their new home. All pets have been housed in foster homes while they wait to find a home to call their very own. All adoptable rescue pets are up to date on shots, treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and have been spayed/neutered.
-Advocates 4 Animals requires an adoption donation fee of $75.00. The adoption donation assists us in rescuing and rehabilitating additional homeless pets. Our organization is run solely on donations and with volunteers. Without your support we could not continue our efforts!
