Boris's Story...
Meet Boris, a very special guy. We probably should have named him “Champ” because he is one champ of a dog. He and his extended canine family, some of whom we have here with us at Cedar Farm, were roaming in a nearby town. They weren’t bothering anyone, they just didn’t have anywhere to call home. People in the community were feeding them but called on rescue groups to help find them a safe place. Boris, eventhough he only weighs 42 lbs, is by far the biggest one of the bunch and he was “big daddy” (literally, we are pretty sure too) to many of the little strays in this sweet clan. He has adjusted very well to our routine here at the farm and gets along great with all of the other dogs. He is absolutely fine with our cats too. He is very affectionate and kind-spirited.
Boris loves walks and does great on leash. He is mindful and obedient, housebroken and crate-trained – a perfect gentleman!
Boris has been neutered and is up-to-date on his shots. He tested negative for heartworms and we have him on monthly preventative. He is microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boris, a Mocksville Brittany/Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brittany/Bulldog for sale in Mocksville, or seeking a Brittany/Bulldog dog from a breeder in Mocksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mocksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mocksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brittany/Bulldog breeders who help with Brittany/Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mocksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
