Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lena is a German Shepherd/Rottweiler Mix. She is Brown and Tan. Lena is 1 year old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 43 lbs.
Lena is a wonderful girl. She has had a rough start in life, but has learned to trust people. She is very timid when you first meet her, but once she gets to know you her little stub won't stop wagging back and forth. Once she gets to know you she's perfect, She loves you and loves to jump up and put her feet on your lap and give you kisses. She'll play fetch with you outside, and snuggle next to you in bed. She just needs a little time to warm up to you and then you quickly gain her trust. Lena has a big heart, she just needs a family that has the patience and understanding to give her the time she needs to adjust to her new home. She's a very pretty girl with those adorable eyes, that light up when you walk into the room. She loves being outside she does great on the tie-out but would love a fenced in yard to run around in and chase tennis balls in.
Lena needs a patient home that will give her the time she needs to adjust. She's very timid at first when she meets new people, but once she gets to know you and learns to trust you she's wonderful. She has a very bubbly personality, and loves people once she trusts them. She is great on the leash when you use a harness, she is a bit weary of the leash but with a harness she can barely tell it's there. She does great on a tie-out but would love a fenced in yard. She plays fetch and even will sit on command for you. She does good with other dogs, but with her background, she tends to be a bit jealous when there is just one other dog in the house, if there is a group of dogs she does fine, but with another dog she becomes attached to her new family and wants to have all the attention to herself. Lena would also do best in a home without cats. She would make a great dog for someone who lives alone, or someone who is looking for a companion. She needs time to warm up to children, but she loves them once she meets and learns that she can trust them. Lena is looking for that forever home that will teach her to love life, and teach her to trust other people. She knows they are out there somewhere, she is waiting patiently for them!
Lena is not aggressive with other dogs, he has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
