Kasey's Story...
Our pretty girl Kasey came to us with a skin condition called sarcoptic mange. She has been treated and is doing so much better. This poor girl probably picked this up and suffered with it for a bit of time before receiving the help she needed. This just breaks our heart to imagine how bad she must have felt. The good news is, sarcoptic mange is completely curable and and will not come back. Kasey is receiving antibiotics to continue her treatment for the underlying infection the mites caused her and this is resolving too. made sure she has been checked by our vet through this process and she will have one more check before she is ready to go to a new home. She is so ready to have a family again. We hope someone will read her story and step forward to give this deserving girl the permanent home she needs. Our Kasey is house trained and crate trained. She plays sweetly with the other dogs at her foster home and really loves her foster mom. (probably because she is the who gives her pills wrapped in yummy cheese)

We want to stress that Kasey is not contagious and has had her full course of treatment. Please consider her, she needs her forever family so her rescue is complete!

Our three year old Kasey is spayed and up to date on her shots, she is heartworm negative.

If you would like to adopt Kasey, please submit an adoption application from our website, and see our other great Labs who are looking for their forever homes, happy tails, and more!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kasey, a Boston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Boston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
