Chesley's Story...
If you were to look up the word “huggable” in the dictionary, you might just spot a picture of me next to the definition. I’m a sweet, friendly, and oh so huggable boy named Chesley. Now, that’s a different name, don’t you think? I have a theory – one person wanted to name me “Chester” and the other one wanted to name me “Wesley,” so they compromised and stuck the two names together – Chesley! But my name is not the only trait that makes me stand out from the crowd. I have the most adorable medium-length fur that is obviously designed for—you guessed it—hugging! Another trait you’re sure to notice when you meet me is that I have some sizable paws. You see, I’m about 6 months old now, about 50 pounds, but it’s likely that I’ve got some more growing to do to fit into these feet. And I’ve got four of them – feet, that is. No, I’m not going to be four feet tall. Oh, goodness, that would be one considerable canine. But one of my best features is one you can’t see from the outside. It’s my big heart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chesley, a Aldie Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
