Moe's Info...

Moe's Story...
I’m a very handsome guy whose name is short and sweet – Moe. I’m sweet, but at over 60 pounds, I don’t think anyone would particularly call me short. And my brown and white coat is not quite short either, but more medium in length. I’m likely a mix of Springer Spaniel, accounting for my coat, along with something larger and broader, perhaps even St. Bernard. I’ve had a home for essentially all my life until recently, and my former family is sure hoping that here at FOHA I get an opportunity to once again be a member of a loving family. I was rescued, along with my siblings, at just 3 days of age. The rest of my siblings were adopted out to other loving families, but my former family decided that I was a keeper. But due to divorce, they had to sell their home, and my mom and dad each moved into apartments where the number of pets was limited. Obviously I’m friendly to other animals, be they other dogs or even cats, and I’ll be happy to share a new home with other adoptive siblings. I’m also wonderful with children and would make an excellent addition to a family. (Please Note: I can only be adopted in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. There will be NO exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moe, a Aldie St. Bernard/English Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/English Springer Spaniel for sale in Aldie, or seeking a St. Bernard/English Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with St. Bernard/English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
