BESSIE's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS BESSIE.....our 15 lb, white, Maltese/Bichon/Poodley, 4-5 yr old girl. We have no idea how Bessie ended up in the shelter...but it appears she has been taken care of and is in great health! This little zoftic girl has lots of energy...and loves to stand on her hind legs and give you her opinions!! Especially if you are ignoring her! She could go with or without another dog, as long as someone is home to be with her -- or just provide her with a lap to sit on! She does not like being left alone! She loves to kiss...plays with toys...has a wonderful personality! We think she is housebroken, but no promises! She definitely uses pee pads. She will alert you to any strangers...even on walks she will protect you (but in a cute way). Bessie is a great little girl who would be wonderful in a mature home...and would be great with the grandkids! Just a great all around dog!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BESSIE, a Los Angeles Bichon Frise/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Maltese for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Maltese dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Maltese breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
