Hunter: FOSTER NEEDED's Story...

5/18/09: Hunter has started his heartworm treatment - but still needs a foster home to recover in...please help this boy get out of his cage. He deserves better, don't you think?

4/22/09: This poor baby has been boarding at the vet's office for months now. He deserves a loving, indoor home with a family who loves him. Could it be yours? We would be elated if someone could at least foster Hunter so that he can receive heartworm treatment.

02/21/09 - Thank you to doggie angel, Nancy, for sponsoring Hunter!

2/5/09- Meet Hunter. Hunter is a handsome yellow lab whose pictures do not do him justice. Hunter is so scared at the shelter that he doesn't like to come out of his kennel. He desperately needs to get out of the shelter because his time is up. Unfortunately for Hunter he has tested positive for heartworms. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Hunter please contact Joan at 870-739-5412 or 870-729-1145.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter: FOSTER NEEDED, a Marion Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marion, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
